Stu Hoberman started Technics Publications in 1966, creating easy-to-follow, high-quality documentation and instruction manuals. When asked as a child what he wanted to be when he grew up, Stu’s son Steve always gave the same answer: “I want to work in my father’s office.” Steve, following in his father’s footsteps, started his own publishing company, Technics Publications, in 2005, with his dad’s values of quality over quantity, practical over pretense, and clear over complex. Today, Technics Publications is more than a book publisher – we are a family of authors with a common mission: “How can we make the world better with data?” Data underlies everything long-term (Strategy, Governance, Architecture, Design, and Intelligence). It’s not a race, but a marathon – advance careers, offer competitive advantages, make better business decisions – our family writes to help you and your organization grow. You may already own a few of our books. Hint: they’re the ones filled with bookmarks, notes, and highlighting.
